Efforts to Support Accessibility:
We have taken the following steps to improve the accessibility of Phoenix Way:
-
WCAG Conformance: This website aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
-
Tools and Guidelines: We have used the following tools and guidelines during the development and maintenance of this website:
-
WCAG 2.1 AA Checklist: To ensure manual testing covers all relevant success criteria.
-
Color Contrast Checker: Wix Accessibility Checker: To verify sufficient color contrast. With Wix, you can create a website with accessibility settings built right in, allowing any visitor to interact with it.
-
-
Site Language: The site language is set to English.
-
Content Structure: We have structured our content using semantic HTML elements to ensure proper heading hierarchy and logical content flow.
-
Alternative Text: All images on this website have descriptive alternative text (alt text) to convey their meaning to users who cannot see them.
-
Color Contrast: We have ensured sufficient color contrast between text and background elements to meet WCAG requirements.
-
Keyboard Navigation: The Phoenix Way website is fully navigable using a keyboard. Users can navigate through all interactive elements, including links, buttons, and form fields, using the Tab key, and activate elements using the Enter key. We have also ensured that focus indicators are clearly visible to keyboard users.
-
Captions and Transcripts: All video content on the Phoenix Way website includes accurate captions. Audio content is accompanied by transcripts. This ensures that users who are deaf or hard of hearing can access the information presented in multimedia formats.
-
Form Accessibility: Forms on this website are designed to be accessible to users with disabilities, including clear labels and instructions.
-
Dynamic Content: We strive to ensure that dynamic content (content that changes without a page reload) is accessible.
Known Limitations:
Due to the frequently changing nature of images on the Phoenix Way website, providing perfectly consistent alternative text for every image is an ongoing challenge. We prioritize adding descriptive alt text to images that are essential for understanding the page's content, such as informational graphics and product images. Decorative images, which do not convey essential information, may not always have alt text. We are training our content editors on accessibility best practices for writing effective alt text and are implementing automated tools to help identify images missing alt text. We are also exploring methods for dynamically generating alt text for certain image types. If you encounter an image without alt text that you believe is important, please contact us.

Feedback:
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Phoenix Way. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us.
